Excursion around Tashkent - "First meeting"

Tashkent

Are you in Tashkent for the first time? Or just haven't had time to get to know the city yet? Then this tour is perfect for you!

In four hours we will show you all the harmony of the fusion of the old and new parts of the city and introduce you to unique sightseeing objects.

The tour will start from the new part of the city, which, especially in the last couple of years, is changing before our eyes.

Tour program

- We will pass by a new complex - "Tashkent City", in which business centers, hotels, an amusement park and branches of popular restaurants in Tashkent coexist. The construction of the business center of Tashkent began in 2017, and although the complex is already in operation, many buildings are still being completed.

Our next object is the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Alisher Navoi. The history of the theater begins in the mid-20s of the twentieth century. The construction history is no less fascinating, like the building itself, the theater was built in 1948 according to the design of the Soviet architect academician Alexei Shchusev, who is the author of the mausoleum project on Red Square in Moscow. People's artists of Uzbekistan participated in the finishing work. Japanese prisoners of war took part in the final stage of the construction of the theater. The theater building is unique in its kind. This is a great example of combining European architecture with elements of oriental architecture.

Amir Timur Square is a small golden ring in the center of Tashkent. In the very center there is a monument to the famous commander and statesman of the 14th century - Amir Timur. And, around the square are the famous Tashkent chimes, the Amir Timur Museum, the Law Institute (the former building of the women's gymnasium), the Uzbekistan Hotel and one of the new grandiose buildings - the Palace of Forums.

The Courage Monument is a monument that was created in honor of people whose friendship defeated a natural disaster - an earthquake on April 26, 1966, when the central part of Tashkent was almost completely destroyed. All countries of the former USSR took part in the restoration of the city, the city was completely restored in 3.5 years.

The new mosque "Minor" - was opened in 2014, it is also called the "White Mosque", as it differs from the old brick mosques with its white marble finish. The mosque can accommodate more than 2400 people.

Then we move to the old part of the city, where we will get acquainted with the unique historical and architectural complex - Hazrat-Imam (Khast-Imam). The Khast-Imam complex is the religious center of Tashkent, where the Barak-Khan madrasah, built in the 16th century, the Tilla-Sheikh mosque, the mausoleum of St. Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi, and the Islamic Institute are located. And within the walls of the library is stored the world-famous Koran of Caliph Osman - the Ottoman (Ottoman) Koran.

A wonderful end to our tour will be a visit to the most colorful bazaar in Tashkent - "Chorsu". Bright, noisy and unsurpassed in an oriental way, the bazaar offers its visitors a wide selection of fruits and vegetables, spicy spices, nuts and dried fruits, as well as separate rows of souvenir shops, national clothing stores and much more.
